Virginia was born on October 7, 1938 to the late Ruben and Gladys Holcomb. She was a Cobb county native and had a career in the insurance field. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas Smith and son Neal Smith. She was preceded in death by her only brother J.R. Holcomb. She was a member of New Providence Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 1:00pm in the chapel at H.M. Patterson & Son Canton Hill. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00-8:00pm. Arrangements under the direction of H.M. Patterson & Son – Canton Hill Chapel, Marietta, GA.
