Her obituary: Modene ''Dene'' Worley – September 14, 1938 – January 1, 2021 – Mrs. Modene Worley, age 82 of Cedartown, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021. She was born September 14, 1938 as Vera Modene Ledford to the late Taft and Eva Ledford. Modene married James Worley September 8, 1962. Together, they had two children, Dwayne Edwin Worley and James Jay Worley. Those who knew Modene remember her as a strong woman who believed in hard work and determination. She was also very generous, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her family will deeply miss her presence, which for so many years was larger than life. Modene is survived by her husband of 58 years, James; her two sons, Dwayne and Jay; three grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, and Conner; and her brother, John Ledford. Funeral services for Mrs. Worley will be conducted Friday, January 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Freeman Harris Funeral Home. Interment services to follow for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dementia Society of America or to the Alzheimer’s Association.
