His obituary: BRACKETT, Joe Ben – Joe Ben Brackett, age 79, of Marietta, passed away on July 14th surrounded by his family. Visitation will start at 1:00pm on Sunday, July 16th, 2017 at Southern Cremations & Funerals At Cheatham Hill, located at 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, Ga. 30064 Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00pm. Reverend Tommy Foster will be the officiant. Interment will take place at 3:00pm at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery, located at 1306 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta, Ga. 30064 Joe was born in Trion, Ga to Elias Van Buren Brackett and Annie Lee Brackett on February 23rd, 1938. He went to Sprayberry High School in Marietta. He was married to Ruth Brackett. He was a lifelong resident of Cobb County. He is preceded in death by: Elisa Van Buren Brackett, Annie Lee Brackett, William "Billy" Brackett. He is survived by his wife Ruth Bennett Brackett, children: Kelly Brackett Ingram, Scott Brackett, Chad Brackett, (Sister) Shelby Brackett Martin, Grandchildren: Ryan Ingram, Morgan Ingram, Cody Brackett, Kaleb McCoy Brackett and eight great grandchildren.
