Bobby Abney. Bobby died on November 1, 2007. Unfortunately, no school portrait exists of Bobby.

His obituary: Mr Bob Or Pops Abney, 70 – Bob "Pops" Abney, 70, of Kennesaw died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2007. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, with the Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Abney served in the Army National Guard. He retired from Domino's Distribution as a truck driver. He was a member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church in Powder Springs. Survivors include his wife, Lula M. Abney; two daughters, Lexanne Fricks and Stephania Abney, both of Kennesaw; two brothers, James Abney of Kennesaw and Donnie Abney of Waleska; two sisters, Martha Trotter of Ellijay and Melba Blackwood of Kennesaw; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and nephews and nieces. Contributions may be made to the Upward Basketball Program at Burnt Hickory Baptist Church, 5145 Due West Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
