His obituary: Lloyd Marion Nelson, 72, of Marietta died Wednesday October 1, 2008. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2008, at Castellaw Funeral Home Jonquil Chapel, Smyrna, GA, with Rev. Randy Mickler officiating. Burial will be at Kennesaw Memorial Park. Survivors include wife Annette Nelson of Marietta, GA; daughters, Cathy McCallum of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Stacy M. Nelson-Barker, of Roswell, GA; sister, Virginia Morris of Marietta, GA; brother, Raymond Nelson of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Kaitlyn McCallum, Kelsey McCallum, and Michael Barker and several nieces and nephews. As a beloved husband, father, grandfather, Lloyd Nelson will be remembered for his loving dedication to his family, his example of hard work and excellent business sense, his love of learning new things and sharing his wisdom with all who ask, and last but not least, his warm and gentle hugs. He was a member of Mt. Bethel Methodist Church since 1980 and attended the Contemporary class. He also was retired from Lockheed-Martin. The family will receive friends Friday, October 3, 2008, from 5:00 p.m. to 8 p.m. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O.
