Charles Garrett. Charles died on August 18, 1993.
His obituary: Charles Garrett, 56, Kennesaw Teacher: Charles Sanford Garrett, 56, of Kennesaw, died Wednesday. Services will be 11 a.m. today at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw with the Rev. Billy Rabern officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. A lifelong resident of Cobb County, Mr. Garrett retired in 1992 from Kennesaw State College after 17 years as a teacher. He was a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and served on the board of directors of the Georgia Society of CPA’s.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Acton Garrett of Kennesaw; four stepsons, Steve Acton of Kissimmee, Fla., Tom Acton of Marietta, Michael Acton of Orlando, Fla., Andrew Acton of Austell, four stepdaughters, Nancy Crace of Woodstock, Mary Acton of Anderson, S.C., Linda Watson of Stone Mountain and Kathryn Field of Dallas; and 19 stepgrandchildren. Contributions can be made to the Charles Garrett Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Kennesaw State College.
